Rolling hills, on our way to Rutland, VT

  1. 35 km ride this morning with Timmy and Marv- up and down rolling terrain.

At one point we went down a 15% grade incline, had to control speed going down, did not want to take risk as there was a stop sign, an intersection at the bottom of the steep descent.

That same 15% grade, Timmy climb this afternoon by his lonesome :)

Pretty exciting and challenging roads here, more challenging than the mountain in Mont-Royal.

  2. the 15% grade is an exception. most of the climbs we've encountered here are just as challenging, if not more, than the one at mont-royal.

we've actually been spoiled here- wherever you go you can't help it but have a climb or two or one after another. it's just part of the landscape.

after the rides we have here the road on the way up to mont-royal will feel like a flat road :-)
