Light of the World

"Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Open my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore thee
Hope for a life spent with You"

Coffee Time at Cafe Depot at Fairview

Another one of my dates with my Trishy girl.

After leaving the Allerair factory in Laval, if I remember it correctly, we went to Japango for lunch, one of our favorite Sushi place in the West Island. You'll find Japango in the Marche De L' Ouest market near Sources Blvd.

From the Marche De L' Ouest with proceeded to Fairview Shopping Center so I could do some of my banking chores. That taken cared of, we went to pay a visit to one of our favorite coffee hole, Cafe Depot. Trish had her hot choco with whipped cream and I had a cup of regular house blend coffee, not the usual chocacinno.

After lunch and dessert I drove Trishky to Abbott.

Until the next date :-) Ciao!

We were driving along Highway 40, on our way to the Colissee in Kirkland, when all of a sudden there was this bright flash of light. It was our back seat flasher, Pammy, experimenting with their new Nikon digital camera.

Today's Devotional- You Need Hope

November 21, 2005

You Need Hope

By Dr. Robert Schuller

You need hope when . . . you get a dream. Whether you are a child, a young person, or an older person, hope lifts that dream until drive and energy come into your personality, and you go for it and take a chance. You need hope when you're dreaming of your future.

You need hope when . . . these dreams run into despairing problems, obstacles, difficulties, and frustrations. You need hope to protect you from the assault of anger, fear, worry, or anxiety. You need hope when you're moving your dreaming into actions.

You need hope when . . . you're healthy. And you need it when you're in ill health.

You need hope when . . . you apply for college and after you're in the university. Then when you choose a career, you will need hope to lift you and lead you onward and upward and forward.

You need hope when . . . you're young and are looking for a girlfriend or boyfriend. And then, when you fall in love, you need it to propose marriage. When you get married, you need hope as much as, if not more than, ever. Hope is what you need when the baby comes and you hold that infant in your arms.

You need hope when . . . you're dying. And you need hope in all of your living.

There will be no love without it. Hope is what will keep your faith alive. That's why hope is right in the middle of the holy trinity of human emotions, "faith, hope, and love."

Today's Devotional- Is Faith Always Worthwhile?

Is Faith Always Worthwhile?
SO WHAT DO we get out of faith? Money? Power? Success? Every believer comes to these questions at some time or other. It is, after all, Satan's question in the first chapter. And so the fateful test is designed--the test to see whether Job's faith is without any ulterior motive or, as Satan believes, merely a commercial contract rather than a covenant of belonging. After Job prays for his friends, he has his fortune restored and is given a new family. The story ends with Job living happily ever after and dying "old and full of years." But was Satan right? Is unselfish faith possible? or even desirable?

Hanging Out With My Trishy

After school Trish and I met up @ the Fairview Shopping Centre. We took a walk around, did some browsing; not long afterwards we decided to check out the new Best Buy store right beside the mall. There is no entrance from inside the mall btw, you have to go out the mall and into the Best Buy main entrance. We took a look around until my head was spinning, which was mainly caused by excited brain waves colliding with the electromagnetic waves from all the electronic gadgetries in the store. :-)

From Fairview we headed to the Marche De L'Ouest Market. Our primary objective was to have a sushi meal at Trish's former work place. They serve great tasting sushi. While we were waiting for our order we were able to pick up some food stuff: fresh baked bread from the bakery(right on the premises), a couple of pork hocks (experimenting with Crispy pata using the Turbo broiler) and chicken legs (also for the Turbo broiler) from the butcher nearby, and a few other items.

The Sushi was great!! It was lots of fun hanging out with Trishy!! After a great meal we headed back home just in time to welcome Pauly and Mom (Nil) home.

BTW, Trish, did you noticed that both of us were wearing green sweaters???!! Cool eh?!
