I was able to pick up my Cannondale road bike from Cycles St.Laurent after lunch.
Was planning to ride with Pilo but he had to cancel later because of prior commitments.
Rather than ride to the Old Port from Lachine, I opted to go do more exploring further west on Pierrefonds Blvd.
As I headed south on Chateau Pierrefonds I explored side streets where new housing have sprouted these past few years. I was just amazed how much more new housing, how new communities have developed where there used to be corn fields and farm lands.
Heading south, to my surprise and amazement, I stumbled on to where the Kirkland Colisee complex is. I've just discovered another route to take when we're heading back to Pierrefonds returning from the Chemin St.Marie side.
Also discovered that Chateau Pierrefonds becomes Chateau Kirkland (vice versa, depending on your heading)
parking lot of Centre Riocan, Kirkland
Cinema Odeon, Kirkland Colisee
Montana's Restaurant
Logged 14kms from my start point to the Kirkland Colisee. On a side note, the above picture was taken in the landscape format, but when uploaded on to the blog it was rotated automatically, that's why the bike computer photo is displayed sideways. What's up with that Google / Blogger?
I took the Sallabery bike path heading back east to Pierrefonds. Stopped by the soccer field where Trish was watching a soccer game- Patrick's team was playing.
Salaberry bike path, by corner of Salaberry and Blvd. St. Jean. Riding parallel to the power lines does give you an 'energized ride' ;-).
Patrick, wearing no. 8 jersey, warming up with teammates
too bad, their team lost
with Trish and other spectators in the stands
33.34 kms (what's up with that Blogger / Google - who asked you to rotate my photo?) ;-))
Have you ridden your bike lately?! Happy riding!!
