Trip to Toronto

Been meaning to drive to Toronto to visit an ailing former high school classmate and friend.
Sadly, I found out, late Friday evening, he had passed away earlier late in the morning.
I knew right there and then that I would drive to Toronto for the funeral which was scheduled for Sunday morning, September 19,2010.
I searched through Hotwire.ca for a reasonable accomodation not far from the funeral home. As usual with Hotwire you do not know which hotel you will be booked in up to only when you have gone through the booking and check out process- reservations made and paid for.
I chose a 4 star hotel (did not know which name or brand) that would cost me $85.00 / night.
The hotel turned out to be the Hilton Suites, Conference Center and Spa on Warren and Highway 7. Beautiful hotel indeed.

checked in and luggage left in our room, we are headed to 1st Markham Place for dinner.

Worship Time at Fairview Alliance Church

Service starts at 11:00am sharp. But members of our team meet an hour before to warm up, to go through the songs we will be singing that Sunday morning.

Tune up and warm up.

Multimedia tunes up their system, Sound hooks up the mic, equipment, and does a sound check.

Meantime, members of the congregation who come early gets a chance to watch us goof up as we rehearse the songs. ;)

As always, we commit the service to the Lord.

God is good- all the time!!

Versatile iPhone

Amazing some of the stuff you can do with the Apple iPhone.

Here my brother Michael shows one of the many fun apps available to the iPhone.

I hope that bank robbers or thieves won't resort to using this app to disguise themselves. Hmmmm.

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

On our flight to Orlando, Florida I picked up to read this magazine in the pocket of the seat in front of me.

The title caught my interest and why wouldn't it?

Bike ride and BeaverTails

Never fails. Whenever Trish and I ride together to the Old Port in Old Montreal, we'd stop by and say hello too our friends at Beavertails! ;)

Trish knows which flavor I like best.

This flavor is yummy too- looks like Hazelnut (Nutella).

This one's mine, Kilallo Sunrise, right?

Looking forward to the next ride, hopefully, before the snow falls. :)
