Sunrise, Despedida Ride With Uncle Edmund

Sunrise / Despedida Ride With Our Cycling Buddy Tito Edmund

Pilo, Edmund, Tito Lits- end of Ice Bridge, entrance to the 11km (22km round trip) Recre-O-Parc (towards St. Catherine town)Our dear cycling buddy / pal Edmund, or as the kids like to refer to him- Manong Edmund, flew back to the Philippines this June 25, Saturday, where he hopes to apply for permanent residency status for over here. Lord willing, all will work well, according to His plan and purpose, and that we'll see Edmund back here in a few months time and have more opportunities to enjoy one of our favorite things - riding our bikes, because we LOVETORIDE
:).

After only getting, at least, a couple of hours sleep, we (Pilo, Edmund and I) decided to meet up early Saturday morning, 5:30AM, at the Lachine Canal bike path, by the Tim Horton's on Dollard Ave, for a farewell - see you again next time ride, in honor of our cycling buddy Edmund. We decided that this would be a very leisurely ride (below 20kph) and this time we did stick to the plan. As always, we took photos as well as video clips along the way, part of the fun when we go cycling.

Here are some of the photos:

"Braveheart" author plugs new book at William and Mary News

We were blessed to have Randall Wallace as one of the guest speakers at the Willow Arts Conference.

Wallace is probably best known for his academy award nominated screenplay “Braveheart.” The movie, directed by and starring Mel Gibson, won the Academy Award for best picture in 1996. His other works include “Man in the Iron Mask,” “Pearl Harbor” and the critically acclaimed “We Were Soldiers.”
