Road Less Traveled- Pistes Cyclable Soulanges

Drove to Pointe Des Cascade, about a 30 minute drive from Pierrefonds, few minutes away from Mike and Aimee's place in Dorion-Vaudreuil.

The "Pistes Cyclable Soulanges"

The "Pistes Cyclable Soulanges" is a 35 km of stretch of paved / asphalt bike path, starts from Pointe des Cascade and stretches all the way to Riviere Beaudette, just a few kilometers from the Quebec - Ontario border. It runs alongside the old Soulanges Canal.

Drive to Pointe De Cascades

Take highway 20 west past Dorion-Vaudreuil, exit to highway 338 west. It's only a few minutes from Mike and Aimee's.

Along Highway 338 East, from Les Cedres towards Pointe Des Cascade.

The bike path is right alongside the canal, just beside those trees.

At the junction of Coteau Du Lac

to continue on your ride westward, cross the road, the bike path continues on at the other side

15 kms more to go from here to Riviere Beaudette. The full round trip kilometers is 70 kms

Just a little further ahead, still in the vicinity of the old locks

Certainly a beautiful route that provides cycling tourists as well as nature lovers plenty of photo opportunities.
